UEFA Champions League debutantes, Qarabag FK have hinted that they won’t be forced to defend for all 90 mins against reigning English Champions, Chelsea FC.

Ahead of the UCL showdown between both teams this evening at the Bridge, the coach of the  said “We’re not scared of any of them. They have one of the best coaches in Europe (in Antonio Conte) and they have some of the best players in Europe.

“Even though Chelsea is an icon in the Champions League and have a big chance to win the Champions League this season, the team is ready and we’re going to play until the end,” according to EveningStandard.

“We know Chelsea are going to make us be defensive. That doesn’t mean we’re going to spend 90 minutes in defence. We’re going to attack as well,” he added.

Gubarnov didn’t stop there, he also mentioned that Conte hinting on a possible squad rotation in his presser yesterday means nothing and it will not affect the overall team play. “Rotating the squad doesn’t mean Conte’s going to rest. He’ll stay in front of the bench supporting his team until the end,” he said.

After a one year absence in Europe’s elite competition, Chelsea return in the first game to face new comers, Qarabag, who advanced to the group stage of the competition at the expense of UCL regulars, FC Copenhagen.
