The draws for the 2019 U23 Africa Cup of Nations (U23 AFCON) has been brought forward to Wednesday, October 2, 2019 by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), reports www.aclsports.com

Draws for the quadrennial tournament designed to be the Olympics Football Event qualifying tournament was initially scheduled for October the 3rd but CAF says the rescheduling has been necessitated by “logistical reason”.

The event will now hold next Wednesday at the Historical Haramlek Palace in Alexandria, Egypt starting from 7pm local time (6pm in Nigeria).

Defending champions Nigeria will be joined by hosts Egypt and six other countries in the draws for the tournament scheduled to start on November 8, 2019 in two stadiums in the Egyptian capital, Cairo.
