Nigeria U20 women’s national team, the Falconets, have begun preparations in Ibadan ahead of their second-leg clash against Rwanda in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifier, www.aclsports.com reports.

Carrying a 1-0 lead from their first-leg victory in Kigali, Moses Aduku’s side was warmly welcomed in Ibadan by Oyo State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Hon. Wasilat Adegoke. She pledged the government’s full support and offered prayers for the squad ahead of the return leg at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Saturday, 27 September.

Captain Joy Igbokwe expressed gratitude on behalf of the team and promised that the Falconets are ready to deliver a strong performance to make Nigeria proud.

CAF has appointed Gambian referee Ngum Fatou to officiate the match, assisted by compatriots Jainaba Manneh, Abbie Ceesay, and Isatou Touray. Liberian Jodie Marian Reid Seton will serve as match commissioner, while Egyptian Hayam Mohammed Baraka has been named referee assessor.
