Nigeria Golden Eaglets will face Guinea for a berth in the final of the 2019 Total U17 Africa Cup of Nations in the Tanzanian capital, Dar es Salaam on Wednesday.

The Nigerian Under 17s, coached by Manu Garba qualified for the semi final last Saturday after a 1-1 draw with Uganda which ensured they emerge tops of Group A with seven points from three games.

The Guineans on the other hand finished second in Group B with six points from three matches and sealed their place with a 1-0 win over Morocco on Sunday. The two West African nations will contest the first semi final game at 4pm local time (2pm Nigerian time) on Wednesday afternoon.

Nigeria, Guinea and the two other semi finalists have also qualified to represent Africa at the FIFA Under-17 World Championship to be hosted by Brazil later this year.

Two-time winners Nigeria are expected to be at full strength for Wednesday’s semi final game with the likes of Wisdom Ubani, Olakunle Olusegun and Akinkunmi Amoo leading the attack for Garba’s men.

The tournament’s other semi-final game will also come up on Wednesday at the same venue; National Stadium, Dar es Salaam between Group B winners Cameroon and Angola, starting from 7:30pm local time (5:30pm in Nigeria).

Winners of both semi-final games will meet in Sunday’s final to determine the winners of the 2019 Under-17 Africa Cup of Nations.
