The head of technical, Taraba state sports council, George Shitta said the state will participate at the 2020 National Sports Festival in Benin City, Edo state.

Shitta told www.aclsports.com that the state athletes are undergoing the compulsory COVID-19 test and the results will be given to the organizers of the festival before the opening ceremony

The Assistant coach of Nigeria Badminton team said the athletes took the vaccine before departing Jalingo on Thursday.

Shitta said, “Our arrangement was to do the COVID-19 test in Benin because we could not have access to the COVID-19 centre in Taraba state. We got to Edo state late yesterday and the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) informed us that we have to produce our COVID-19 results and we have swung into action.

He told www.aclsports.com that Taraba state will feature in Badminton and Judo events on Sunday.
