Quadri Aruna Jnr won bronze medal in the U11 boys category at the 2024 World Table Tennis (WTT) Youth Contender in Vila Real, Portugal.

Aruna Jnr lost to Joao Costa (Portugal) 1-3 (7-11, 8-11, 11-8, 7-11) in the U11 Boys Semifinals.

www.aclsports.com reports that Quadri Aruna jr is the son of African number one player and World number 12 player.

Quadri Jr was under the watchful eyes of his mother, Ganiyat Aruna, who was his coach at the WTT event.

An elated Ganiyat Aruna told www.aclsports.com that her son is going to come back stronger at subsequent Youth Championships.

She hailed her husband, Quadri Aruna for his continuous support in ensuring the children have a career in Table Tennis.

Aruna said, “The past few days have not been an easy but thank God for a happy ending. My son won a bronze medal at his first WTT appearance. We are just starting and by the Grace of God, my son is coming back stronger.

“A special thank you to my husband for his continuous support and may God continue to bless, guide and protect you”, she added.
