Super Falcons striker Asisat Oshoala was once again on the score sheet for FC Barcelona Women in a 2-3 defeat to Recreativo Huelva on matchday 21 of the Liga Iberdrola in Spain.

The Spanish giants opened the scoring through Nigeria’s Asisat Oshoala in the 16th minute after her impressive debut on Sunday earned her a spot in the starting XI on Wednesday night.

The visitors however came back resurgent in the second half with three goals in nine minutes as Oshoala’s Barcelona side immediately went 1-3 down in front of their fans.

With about six minutes of regulation time left to play, Oshoala added a second with a precise header from a corner kick to reduce the deficit giving the home side something to fight for in the remaining minutes.

It was however not to be as Recreativo Huelva held their nerves to see out the game and halt an impressive run of four wins for the Barcelona ladies.

Oshoala’s brace on Wednesday night takes her tally to three goals in two games for the Spanish giants in just 14 days since she joined the Spanish outfit.
