Perfumerias Avenida of Spain has signed D’Tigress star Evelyn Akhator for the 2019/2020 season. Akhator who spent last season with Besikas Women Basketball averaged 15.1 PPG, 11.4 RPG and made 5 double double in 36.2 MPG at the EuroCup Women.

The 2018 Nigerian Sports Award Sports Woman of the year also led Besiktas to a quarter final finish in the Turkish League losing to eventual winners Fenerbahce.

She also played a crucial role at the 2018 FIBA Women’s World Cup in Tenerife Spain and also the 2017 Afrobasket Women Championship in Mali for the Nigeria Senior Women’s team, D’Tigress.

According to Avenida, “Akhator will add physical intensity, quality and capacity in their next campaign.

“The 24 year old Nigerian is capable of playing 4 and 5 with tremendous agility to run the entire field, attack the rim from outside and also score from the middle and from long range.”

The number 3 pick of the 2017 WNBA draft is the second signing made by Perfumerias Avenida.
