The world record holder told www.aclsports.com that despite Nigeria inability to attend international tournaments prior to the 2020 Paralympics; the leadership of the federation has ensured Nigeria hosted important championships.

Oluwafemiayo said, “I am happy Nigeria is hosting the 2020 Para Powerlifting World Cup because I intend using it as one of my preparatory tournaments ahead of the Tokyo 2020 Paralympics. We are all aware of the difficulties the federation has been facing before and during this current board which bothers on funding.

“This current board has ensured we have two quality championships hosted in the country in the space of 13 months; one of them is the 2019 International Para Powerlifting Championship held in Lagos and the second is the 2020 World Cup”.

She further said; “Most of us are excited because some of the best lifters in the will be in Nigeria and this will let us know their strengths and weaknesses. I will not only win gold medal but study some of my opponents”.
