Adamawa Queens and Confluence Queens confirmed their respective slot in the 2019 Nigeria Women’s Premier League (NWPL) Super 4 on the final Matchday.

In Group D, a convincing 4-1 home win over debutants Invincible Angels ensured that Confluence Queens of Kogi leapfrogged Ibom Angels to emerge top of the group.

With 9 points and a match to go, Ibom Angels lost top spot to Confluence Queens following a 1-0 loss away to Abia Angels while Confluence Queens who came into the final day with 8 points closed out the league season with a win thus leapfrogging Ibom Angels to pick the sole Super 4 slot in Group D.

Meanwhile in Lagos, a draw away to Dream Star Ladies was enough to see Adamawa Queens go through as group leaders in Group B as second placed Edo Queens lost 2-3 away to Heartland Queens.

A resounding 4-2 away victory for FC Robo over Osun Babes thickened the plot in Group A as the Lagos based side now sit top of the group with 11 points and +3 goals difference.

Rivers Angels on the other hand are now in second with 10 points, +2 goals difference and a gamẹ in hand at home to Delta Queens. Anything but a win tomorrow means that the AITEO Cup finalists will surrender the sole Super 4 ticket in Group A to FC Robo.

The final two slots for the Super 4 will be decided on Thursday with games in Group C and A yet to be played.
