Sunshine Queens and Osun Babes have been relegated from the 2025/2026 NWFL Premiership as the regular season ended with Matchday 18 fixtures, www.aclsports.com reports.
At the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos, Robo Queens ended their campaign with a 2–1 win over Nasarawa Amazons, completing a 100 percent home record with nine wins from nine games. Opeyemi Ajakaye opened the scoring in the 24th minute for her sixth goal of the season, while Oluwakemi Adegbuyi doubled the lead in the 50th minute to take her tally to eight goals. Ayatsea Hembafan pulled one back for the visitors in the 75th minute.
In Ikenne, Dannaz Ladies claimed a 3–2 win over Remo Stars Ladies in a thrilling Southwest derby. Remo Stars took an early lead through Chiamaka Ojialor, but goals from Fatimoh Solaty, Zainab Raji, and Ajoke Akinbo turned the game around for Dannaz, before a late own goal added further tension.
Sunshine Queens closed their campaign with a 2–0 win over Confluence Queens in Akure, with goals from Lolade Akintunde and Bunmi Adenuga. Heartland Queens edged Adamawa Queens 1–0 in Owerri, with Chimebere Opara scoring the only goal of the game.
At the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium, Ekiti Queens stunned Bayelsa Queens 1–0 courtesy of Joke Adeyemo’s early strike.
Pacesetter Queens and Naija Ratels played out a 1–1 draw in Ibadan. Janet Achukwu opened the scoring for the visitors before Samantha Victor restored parity. Ahudiyannem Queens ended their debut season on a positive note with a 1–0 win over Abia Angels in Aba.
Delta Queens in Asaba finished strongly with a 3–0 win over Osun Babes, as Titilayo Aweda netted twice, while Anastasia Terfa added the third.
Edo Queens defeated Rivers Angels 2–1, with Atume Doosuur once again on the scoresheet to take her tally to 12 goals, the highest in the league, at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.
Table implications
In Group A, Bayelsa Queens, Edo Queens, and Rivers Angels secured Super Six spots in that order.
In Group B, Robo Queens topped the table, with Nasarawa Amazons and Abia Angels also sealing Super Six qualification.
Ahudiyannem Queens impressed in fourth place, ahead of Delta Queens and Remo Stars Ladies, who missed out on qualification.
Dannaz Ladies secured their top-flight status for next season, while Sunshine Queens, Osun Babes, and Confluence Queens were relegated.
