Head coach Jeffrey Buter has signed a contract renewal with Sporting Lagos ahead of the new NPFL season.
Buter renews his contract with the Tech Boys after achieving promotion to the NPFL and also leading the team to NNL glory in a record-breaking first season in charge at the club.
Last season, Sporting Lagos set numerous records under his leadership, breaking their away win record and also scoring the most goals in the NNL last term.
In all competitions, he has managed a total of 42 matches with a win rate of 64%, scoring 86 goals in the process.
Sources close to the club informed ACLSports that the fast rising tactician has signed another one year deal, as the Lagos club aim to retain their Premier League status at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Buter recently spoke to ACLSports after leading his side to triumph in the ValueJet Cup about the readiness of his side for the new season.
Sporting Lagos will travel to Gombe to face Doma United in their 2026/27 NPFL season opener on August 30th before hosting fellow Lagos side Ikorodu City in their first home game the following weekend.
