The Super Eagles of Nigeria have dropped in the latest FIFA/Coca-Cola world ranking, aclsports.com can report. The ranking released on Thursday by the world football governing body showed that Nigeria dropped three spots to number 32 in the world.

In the previous ranking released mid-September, the Eagles were ranked 29th but have now lost three places after poor outings in their first international break since the outbreak of the Coronavirus pandemic,  COVID-19. 

Nigeria’s Super Eagles took on their African counterparts, Algeria and Tunisia in friendlies earlier this month in Austria, with the Eagles losing 0-1 to Algeria before a 1-1 draw with Tunisia four days later.

Elsewhere in the continent, Senegal remained number one in Africa but dropped a spot in the world front 20 to 21, while all in the top 5 but Algeria and Tunisa all dropped points. 

Algeria gained 5 places, while Morocco and Ghana dropped four and two spots respectively. 

In the world, the top five remained the same with Belgium holding firmly to their number one spot, while there were three changes in the top 10 as there areSpain (6th, +1) and Argentina (8th, +1) swapped spots with Uruguay (7th, -1) and Croatia (9th, -1) respectively.
