Racing in the first heat of the women’s 100 meters, the LSU sprinter blazed to an impressive 10.91 seconds (+1.2 m/s wind), setting a new personal best and becoming the fastest woman in the world this year.

This remarkable achievement not only secured her place in the next round but also catapulted her to fourth on Nigeria’s all-time list for the women’s 100 meters, behind only Blessing Okagbare, Rosemary Chukwuma, and Glory Alozie.
