Shooting Stars head coach, Edith Agoye rates the performance of his boys high despite the harsh weather condition on Wednesday afternoon.

Agoye’s side went ahead through substitute Anthony Okachi’s well taken goal, before they were pegged back by a fierce finish from Agbeko Morgan to delay the Oluyole Warriors’ promotion back to the top-flight.

Agoye praised his players for their performance and how they gave virtually everything in the second group game against the Sky Blue Stars.

“I think the level of performance is impressive considering the weather is not favourable for football, this is the weather to go to the beach not football.”

“Both teams tried their best, they gritted their teeth to make sure they get something from the game.” Agoye added.

The former bulky striker echoed that his side came for the win which should have confirmed their promotion, but argued that it was a fair result in the end.

“We wanted an outright win, so that we can confirm out promotion into the NPFL, unfortunately Remo were able to rally back and get the equaliser. So far so good, it was a fair result for both sides”

Shooting Stars have four points from two games and will play Ekiti United in their final group game on Friday.
