Leicester City have announced the signing of Welsh goalkeeper, Danny Ward from Liverpool on a 4 year-deal. It was almost inevitable that Ward left Liverpool following the record transfer arrival of Allison from Roma
The 25 year-old goalkeeper becomes the foxes’ fourth signing of the summer behind James Maddison, Jonny Evans and Ricardo Pereira. “I’m delighted to be here and I’m really looking forward to the future with this football club,” Ward said to Leicester City TV after putting pen to paper.
“I’ve come here to develop my all-round game and hopefully help deliver some more success. The club has had that in recent years and hopefully there’s more to come in the future.”
After making his international debut in 2012, Ward has grown in the goalkeeping position for Wales and was part of the Wales squad that made it to the semi-finals of Euro 2016.
Ward is expected to join up with his Leicester City team mates on Monday as pre-season activities intensify.
