Belgian side KV Mechelen have completed the signing of striker Adeshina Ayodele from LOSC Lille of France on a permanent transfer, www.aclsports.com reports.
Ayodele, 20, was nurtured at Beyond Limits Football Academy of Ikenne before moving to France in the summer of 2024. The striker has now moved to Belgium and signed a contract until 2029 with an option to extend.
At LOSC Lille B, he scored 22 goals and provided 8 assists in 54 matches. He also played 6 matches in the UEFA Youth League, where he found the net twice.
“Adeshina Ayodele is a player with speed and depth,” said Tom Caluwé, KV Mechelen’s Sporting Director. “Due to his strong physical profile, he should provide extra competition in the attacking line.”
Sought after by several Scandinavian clubs, as well as those in Portugal and the Netherlands, Ayodele will ultimately play in Belgium this new season.
KV Mechelen, who finished fifth in the Pro League last season, will begin their 2026-2027 campaign away at Gent this Sunday, August 9th.
This will be a great opportunity to quickly get Adeshina Ayodele, who completed his preseason training with Lille’s first team, into the swing of things.
