National Judo Champion, Miracle Cyprian says at God’s time, he will represent Nigeria at various African Judo Championships and African Games.

Cyprian won gold medal in the men’s -90kg category at the recently concluded 2024 African Club Championship in Lome, Togo.

The two time National Sports Festival gold medallist told www.aclsports.com that missing the 2019 and 2023 African Games is discouraging despite training hard for the tournament in the last six years.

He said, “Too many discouragements have come but I did not allow it weigh me down in my Judo career. In setbacks are trials time, but I have people that believe in me and the little abilities I have so they keep encouraging me.

“Since I missed out on the team representing Nigeria at the 13th African Games in Ghana, I remain optimistic that my time will come. I remain grateful for every passing day and I am just taking life one step at a time whatever hurdle that come I’ll do my possible best to cross it.

“I channeled my energy into the African Club Championship in Togo and I am excited I returned home with a gold medal. I feel grateful to God that the little efforts I made was a success. God remains my major source of inspiration because he has kept me going despite the trials and tribulations”.

The multiple National champion said his intentions is to go into sports management in the near future.

He said, “Five years from now, I am thinking of starting. It’s either I am out of the sports line to focus on family or go into sports management”.
