Spanish star, Isco Alarcon has signed an extension to his Real Madrid contract, following agreement with the club that will see the him stay at the Bernabeu until 2022, the club has confirmed.

Isco’s current contract was due to expire next summer, but the 25-year-old has now put pen to paper on a new five-year deal with the European champions.

“Iso has signed his contract extension with Real Madrid in the Santiago Bernabéu board room accompanied by club president Florentino Pérez. The Málaga born midfielder will remain with the club until 30 June 2022,”  the club said in a statement on their official website.

Isco has been in superb form for Real since stepping into the team in the absence of Gareth Bale last season, going on to play a key role as Los Blancos’  won the La Liga and a record second consecutive Champions League titles.

He was also part of the side who defeated Manchester United to lift the UEFA Super Cup.

Isco joined Real Madrid in 2013 from fellow La Liga side, Malaga.
