Nigerian forward Ibrahim Adewale has joined Sweden’s Superettan club Norrby IF on a season-long loan from Mjällby AIF, www.aclsports.com reports.
The 19-year-old, who can also be used as a striker, joined Mjällby AIF from Tripple 44 Football Academy ahead of the season and has a contract that runs until 2030.
”Mjällby AIF and Superettan club Norrby IF have agreed on a loan deal for Ibrahim Adewale. The loan agreement is valid for the rest of the season. Now the development continues in Superettan, where Adewale will represent Norrby IF for the rest of the season,” said a statement from the Allsvenskan club.
Before moving to Listerlandet, Ibrahim Adewale spent the past season on loan at IF Karlstad Fotboll, where he established himself as a key player in Ettan Norra. In 29 competitive matches, he scored 15 goals and made 6 assists.
Due to injury, the Nigerian player represented Mjällby AIF in just four competitive matches during the year and will be hoping to get more minutes at Norrby.
