Beyond Limits Football Academy (BLFA) have confirmed the transfer of Oreoluwa Agbenla to Swedish side AIK, www.aclsports.com reports.
The 18-year-old, who is one of the homegrown talents of the Ikenne-based Academy, is the latest product of the Academy to move to Europe in the past 48 hours.
”AIK Fotboll has agreed with 18-year-old midfielder Oreoluwa Agbenla and his Nigerian club Beyond Limits FA on an agreement that extends until December 31, 2030. The agreement is a so-called transfer player agreement, which means that it is written as an A-team contract but where the player will initially belong to the club’s academy team,” the Allsvenskan club confirmed on Friday.
Agbenla, who is also a former Nigerian junior international, rose through the ranks of the academy. He featured in the 2024 La Liga Promises tournament, which the side won, and also won many laurels in the TCC League.
”Oreoluwa is a versatile “box-to-box” midfielder with a good understanding of the game. He plays maturely and balances offensive and defensive efforts, while being skilled at finishing inside the opponent’s penalty area. He is a player who likes to play in combinations and create chances for his teammates. He is also very confident with the ball. AIK has been scouting him since the beginning of 2025 and also saw him in action in the Gothia Cup when his club visited the tournament,” said AIK Football’s head of recruitment, Miika Takkula.
Oreoluwa Agbenla was born on July 12, 2008, and will move to AIK after being granted a work permit.
