Ovetuo said, “The players are battle ready for the 24th edition of the African Women’s Handball Championship in Cameroon and will give our best when we face DR Congo on Tuesday.

“The camp exercise was awesome and I believe that we are going all out to do our best. In this current squad, we have young players who are determined and focus to play the game of handball. By the grace of God, Nigeria will pick the ticket despite all odds because the team is prepared”.

She described the current crop of players as one of the most determined set of players who wants to write the name of Nigeria in gold.

She said, “Nigeria should expect the best on the court of play, the selection of the squad was near perfect, a lot of young players picked because handball is a fast game; the second fastest sport in the world and the zeal shown by these crop of players is marvelous.

“The young players impressed me during their training session when I resumed camp. I believe and have it in my mind that we are not going to disappoint Nigerians in Cameroon”.
