Muhinat Yusuf was instrumental to Kwara Adorable Angels fourth win at the ongoing 2021 Prudent Energy Handball League in Abuja.

The Right Back player ensured Adorable Angels remained unbeaten in the league as they defeated former champions, Plateau Peacocks 34 to 25 goals on Day 5 of the elite league.

The National team player told www.aclsports.com that the success behind her exceptional play is her teammates and coach.

Yusuf revealed that beating Plateau Peacocks means they are one inch close to the title adding that they will play the remaining games with utmost seriousness.

She said, “Handball is a team game and one person cannot play all the positions. My teammates have been my pillar, support and are the source of my success. If they do not pass the ball to me, there is no way I can score goals.

“Asides my teammates, my coach (Isiaka Atanda) is another person who keeps me going. He ensures that I train hard whether there are competitions or not. I will not forget to mention the man who has been our father for the past 13 years; that is the Chairman of Kwara State Handball Association, Emmanuel Olubiyo. He raised us from teenagers to where we are today; he practically pays for everything we ask for.”

“Our victory against Plateau Peacocks is an indication that we are still in the race to retain our title. The matches are very touch because everyone wants to beat and dethrone us but we will remain determined and focus,” she told www.aclsports.com
