Handball: Imo Grasshoppers record third straight win

Imo Grasshoppers have continued their fine run by with their third straight win at the 2021 Prudent Energy Handball League in Abuja.

The Fly Grasshoppers defeated Defenders Babes in their third match by 25 to 19 goals on Day 3 of the league.

Grasshoppers produced a wonderful performance beating Edo Dynamos by 25 to 18 goals on on Friday in their second match of the league.

The coach of Imo Grasshoppers, Justina Akpulo told www.aclsports.com that her team came prepared for this year’s Prudent Energy Handball League.

The Ex International said winning three straight matches indicates Imo Grasshoppers are title contenders and not pretenders.

The Olympian said, “I am so happy and glad that the girls won their third match. I can say we prepared very well for this year’s Prudent Energy Handball League but our court in Owerri is bad causing ankle and knee pains for many of the players.

“Imo Grasshoppers are ripe for the league and if it is also the will of God. It is not by our power or by our might but by the grace of God; we are believing in God that he will do it.”

She disclosed that Imo Grasshoppers signed four players to strengthen the team “We signed four players to improve the team after we discovered that the team needed some fresh impetus.
