The Head Coach of Team FCT, Ayo Joshua said his team will only respect other opponents and not to be afraid of them at the upcoming U18/21 Handball Championships

The National U18 and U21 Male/Female championship begins this weekend at the Mobolaji Johnson Sports hall, Rowe Park Lagos.

Joshua who is confident that his troop can defeat any tough teams said nothing other than an outright victory will make him happy.

“My players will respect their opponents but they are not afraid of them. I assure you that my team has what it takes to lift the trophy in Lagos. Respect and not fear is the matter here,’’ Joshua told www.aclsports.com.

The former Sokoto Rima player said the selection of the teams was based on merit.

He said, “These teams I am presenting in Lagos were selected based on punctuality to training, discipline and merit. I made sure each of my players believe in team work and team spirit because that is the only way we can survive the threats posed by other teams.

‘What we need to do now is go into the championships with a positive attitude and I believe that if we win our first game, it will help our campaign,” he concluded.

The Ex-International told www.aclsports.com that some of the players can break into the age grade teams of the country.
