Six-time African Player of the Year, Asisat Oshoala, scored and provided an assist in Al Hilal’s 3–2 win over Eastern Flames in the Saudi Women’s Premier League on Saturday, www.aclsports.com reports.
The hosts took the lead in the 22nd minute through Moroccan forward Ibtissam Jraidi’s penalty, but Oshoala quickly turned the tide. She set up Portuguese teammate Jéssica Silva to level in the 27th minute before calmly converting a penalty herself, awarded after Al Bandari Mobarak was fouled, to give Al Hilal a 2–1 lead at halftime.
Eastern Flames hit back early in the second half through Fadwa Khaled, but Manar Al Enezi struck in the 81st minute to secure all three points for Al Hilal.
The victory lifts Al Hilal to third place, level on points with Al Nassr and Al Ittihad but behind on goal difference (+2). They next face NEOM on Friday, September 26.
Meanwhile, in the French Division 1 Féminine, Super Falcons captain Rasheedat Ajibade and midfielder Jennifer Echegini featured in Paris Saint-Germain’s 5–2 win over Nantes. Echegini played the full 90 minutes, while Ajibade was substituted in the 64th minute. PSG’s next challenge is an away clash against Lyon.
