Two Nigerians will play prominent roles in the Final 4 of the FIBA Africa Basketball League taking place this weekend in Luanda, Angola despite the exit of Rivers Hoopers of Port Harcourt and Civil Defenders of Abuja.

Col. Samuel Ahmedu (rtd) has been appointed by FIBA Africa as one of the two Technical Delegates on duty during the Final 4 phase between 24th and 26th of May.

FIBA 2019 World Cup bound referee, Kingsley Ojeaburu was also named as the only Nigerian referee alongside 11 others who will be upholding the rules of the beautiful game when the 4 best clubs in Africa converge in Luanda.

A letter addressed to the Nigeria Basketball Federation as well as the nominated officials stated that the NBA Pre-Competition clinic for all Referees of the competition will be held on May 23rd with the FIBA physical fitness test also conducted on the same day.
