Super Eagles’ duo of Victor Osimhen and Moses Simon are back amongst the goals after scoring in France at the weekend.

EiE review features the talented youngster in the Ligue 1 and his Super Eagles teammates in Europe.

Osimhen scored his first Ligue 1 goal since December 21 as Lille came from behind to beat Strasbourg 1-2.

The 20-year-old whose last goal in the Ligue was in the 5-1 defeat at Monaco last year netted the decisive winner from the spot ten minutes from time.

It was the 11th of the season for Osimhen, who played from start to finish.

Earlier on Friday, another Super Eagles star who scored for the for a time in a long while was Moses Simon.

With Nantes and Rennes tied at 1-1, Simon put his side ahead with a calm finish with ten minutes to go.

However, they failed to hold on to the lead as Rennes fired two quick goals to seal all three points after a 3-2 win.

For Simon though, he would be glad to have ended his goal drought, which stretched back to October 5, 2019, a 1-0 win over Nice.

Completing the lineup in France are Bordeaux duo of Samuel Kalu and Josh Maja, who were held to a goalless draw at home by Marseille.

But of none of the duo featured, Maja was an unused substitute, while Kalu was not listed.

In England, Leicester City was without Wilfred Ndidi who missed their 2-2 draw with Chelsea at the King Power, while Kelechi Iheanacho featured for just ten minutes after replacing Jamie Vardy on 80 minutes.

Alex Iwobi returned to the Everton lineup for their exciting win at Vicarage Road. He played for just over an hour as the Toffees twice came from behind to defeat Watford 2-3.

It was his first game since December 21 against his former club, Arsenal.

In the absence of Jamilu Collins, who was suspended following his red card the previous weekend, Paderborn suffered a 2-4 thrashing at home to Werder Bremen.

Kenneth Omeruo was one of the heroes for Leganes as they came from behind to beat Real Sociedad 2-1 at home.

Omeruo headed Leganes level to cancel Alexander Isak first half opener for the visitors, before Oscar Rodriguez sealed the win with a late winner.

Compatriot, Awaziem Chidozie also featured from start to finish, picking up a yellow card.

Getafe defeated Athletic Bilbao 0-2 but were without Oghenekaro Etebo, while Ramon Azeez played 29 minutes in Granada’s 2-1 win over Espanyol on Saturday.

Samuel Chukwueze was a 55th-minute substitute for Villarreal who eased to a 3-1 victory against Osasuna.

For Serie A duo of Ola Aina and William Troost-Ekong, the less said about their weekend, the better.

Aina and Torino suffered another heavy defeat, this time a 4-0 hammering by Lazio, while Inter Milan were just too strong for Troost-Ekong and Udinese following a 0-2 defeat at home.

Scotland based Joe Aribo featured from start to finish as Rangers were held to a goalless affair at home by Aberdeen.

In the Championship, Semi Ajayi netted the winner as West Bromwich Albion beat Luton Town 2-0.
