Head Coach of the Super Falcons, Thomas Dennerby has called up 30 home-based players for the third camping phase which commenced on Monday ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in June later this year.

Following consecutive successful outings at the China and Cyprus Invitational Tournaments in which the Super Falcons came 3rd and 7th respectively, the  team is now set for the next phase of camping but this time without the compliment of their foreign based counterparts who have also been doing well for their respective clubs.

Notable returnee to the squad after being initially overlooked for the 2018 AWCON in Ghana is Rivers Angels’ midfield enforcer Evelyn Nwabuoku who has always been outstanding in her position when called upon. Also returning to the team is Bayelsa Queens forward, Chioma Wogu and goalkeeper, Alaba Jonathan.

In furtherance of their preparation for the World Cup in France, the Super Falcons of Nigeria will play two matches in Spain in the first week of April to further put themselves in shape for the finals.
