Enyimba FC playmaker Cyril Olisema says the training methods of head coach Fatai Osho has been responsible for his side’s remarkable turnaround in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) in recent weeks.

Olisema has been a prominent figure in Osho’s starting eleven ever since he took charge from former boss Usman Abd’Allah and the dynamic midfield star attributes their current winning streak to what they do in training.

“I wish you can come to our training ground to see the different types of methods we do,” replied Olisema when asked by www.aclsports.com what the secret of their recent displays is.

“The runs, the spacing for balls, the movements. That’s why it is not just a particular person scoring in our team.”

Olisema had two brilliant assists in Monday’s 1-4 win over Abia Warriors in Okigwe and the former Akwa United star says the team’s playing pattern has made it easier for him to pick the moves of the forward players.

“As a midfielder, I love attackers that make good runs and you can see, our attackers do that. It may not be because they know how to do it naturally, but it is because of our style and the pattern we play,” he added.

Enyimba are currently without their first choice back four among other injury worries but that has not hindered their good run of form. Cyril Olisema says the love among the playing personnel has also been crucial in the face of injuries.

“There is something called love and unity among the players. We always train together despite the injuries and when it is time to play, the others pray for the fit ones to excel.

“We have a lot of talented players in the team but the most important thing is the love so we don’t get affected when players are out injured,” he concluded.

Enyimba will face Kwara United in a rescheduled game at the Enyimba Stadium in Aba on Wednesday with an incentive of 5th position waiting for them should they win.
