2024/2025 Nigeria Women’s Football League champions, Bayelsa Queens, will discover their opponents for the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League – WAFU B Qualifiers when the draw takes place on Wednesday, August 14, 2025, www.aclsports.com reports.

The ceremony will be held at the CAF West Zone B Headquarters in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, at 10:00 GMT.

The Prosperity Girls, will fly Nigeria’s flag as they battle for the sole WAFU B ticket to the CAF Women’s Champions League final tournament later this year.

They will face six other national champions from across West Africa: AS GNN (Niger), ASEC Mimosas (Côte d’Ivoire), Police Ladies FC (Ghana), Sam Nelly FC (Benin), ASKO Kara (Togo), and U.S.F.A (AO Etincelle) of Burkina Faso.

Since the competition’s inception in 2021, Nigerian sides have claimed the title twice, Bayelsa Queens in 2022 and Edo Queens in 2024, while Ghanaian clubs won the other editions. Bayelsa Queens, who finished third at the 2022 CAF Women’s Champions League finals, will be banking on their experience and attacking firepower to reclaim regional glory and secure a return to the continental stage.

The draw in Abidjan will determine the group stage line-up and match schedule, setting the stage for a month-long showcase of elite women’s club football in West Africa.
