The Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN) said has secured the services of a Chinese technical adviser and assistant coach to improve the quality of Nigeria national team.

The President BFN, Francis Orbih told www.aclsports.com that the technical adviser and assistant coach will resume officially December 2018.

Orbih stated that the payment of salaries and allowances of the Chinese coaches is shouldered by the Chinese Badminton Federation.

“Chinese technical adviser and his assistant will resume duty next month and will both witness the National Championship. My administration is determined to improve the quality of Nigeria national team. We all know that China is the best country in badminton, so if we aspire to be the best, we must go for the best.

“One good thing is that the federation will not be responsible for the payment of salaries and allowances of the coach as well as his assistant. It is sponsored by Chinese Badminton Association”, he added.

Orbih said that China is the number one badminton country in the world which is one of the reasons the federation agreed to hire him as the national team coach.

The Chinese coach whose name is yet to be unveiled by the Federation worked with the national team during the world badminton championship in China.
