Nigeria’s two representatives in CAF competitions this season Rangers International and Lobi Stars will continue their rivalry in the round of 32 of this season’s Aiteo Cup after they were drawn together on Sunday evening.

Rangers; the defending champions of the tournament were beaten by Lobi Stars in the Nigerian Super Cup last November but the Flying Antelopes got their pound of flesh in the recently held NPFL Championship Playoffs in Lagos. They must now overcome Lobi once again if they hope to retain their crown.

In another high profile pairing, 2017 champions Akwa United will face their South-South rivals Rivers United at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium in Enugu while the Aper Aku Stadium, Makurdi will host the Nasarawa derby between Aklosendi and Nasarawa United.

NPFL champions Enyimba will continue their quest for a double with a tie against Smart City of Lagos in Benin City; Katsina United and Shooting Stars will face in Abuja while two teams that were relegated from the NPFL; Gombe United and Niger Tornadoes will clash in Lafia.
