Adil Ramzi named PSV assistant coach

Former Morocco international Adil Ramzi has been appointed as assistant coach of Dutch side PSV Eindhoven where the now 42-year-old plied his trade between 2000 and 2004.

Ramzi will work under Ernest Faber who was named interim coach earlier this week following the dismissal of Marc Van Bommel.

“Even with an interim technical staff you need a combination of coaches with different profiles. With his experience, Adil brings a specific expertise that will be useful for the club. We are happy to have him come to help us,” said John de Jong, technical director of PSV.

Adil Ramzi was the coach of PSV U17 outfit before his new appointment. He spent most of his professional career in the Eredivisie, representing PSV, Willem II, AZ Alkmaar, Utrecht, Twente and Roda JC.

With the Atlas Lions, he played 41 matches and scored five goals between 1998 and 2007.
