Nigeria’s home based senior national team, the Super Eagles B on Tuesday returned to the country after campaigning at the 2018 African Nations Championship.

The team, coached by Salisu Yusuf were pummeled 4-0 by hosts Morocco in Sunday’s final after having gone the entire tournament unbeaten until that point.

The Eagles touched down at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at about 3:45am local time on Tuesday morning via an Air Maroc flight.

The contingent was led by Nigeria Football Federation’s Technical and Development Committee chairman Ahmed Yusuf Fresh and other members of the Executive Committee of the NFF.

Also on board were Nigerian journalists that covered the twenty two-day tournament in Morocco including www.aclsports.com Chief Football Writer, Fisayo Dairo.

They were received on arrival by members of Nigerian Football Supporters Club who greeted them with singing and dancing at the entrance of the Arrival Hall of the Airport.

www.aclsports.com can report that players have started moving to their various clubs after local flights were arranged for them according to their choice of destination.

Nothing was however said about the purported promise by Lagos State governor Akinwunmi Ambode to host the team upon arrival in Lagos.
