Niger Flickers unbeaten run was halted by GRA of Ghana in match day three of the Hockey Africa Cup for Club Champions at the Theodosia Okoh Hockey Stadium, Accra, Ghana.

The Nigerian Champions lost 4-3 to their Ghanaian counterparts. Another Nigerian side in the men’s category, Police Machine are out of the competition after getting their third straight defeat in the competition. Police Machine were humiliated 7-1 by Egypt’s El Sharkia Club.

Trustees of Ghana also suffered defeat at the hands of Eastern Company Club of Egypt. After four entertaining quarters, the Egyptians pipped Trustees by a single goal to stay unbeaten alongside El Sharkia Club.

In the women’s category, things went from bad to worse for Yobe desert Queens. The Nigerian girls were hammered 8-0 in their third game by GRA Women of Ghana on Monday. Earlier, Kada Queens of Nigeria lost their second match at the Africa Cup for Club Champions losing 3-0 to the defending champions, Telekom Orange of Kenya. Elsewhere, Police Club of Ghana were 4-1 winners over Strathmore of Kenya.

Meanwhile, Tuesday has been declared rest day but action continues on Wednesday.
