In the clash of World Silver medalists, Mumbai Maharathi’s Odunayo Adekuoroye earned a hard-fought 5-1 victory against Veer Marathas’s Marwa Armi on the 9th day of the Pro Wrestling League season 3.

The bout between both Africa top female wrestlers in the 57kg weight class was tagged one of the greatest bouts of the league since inception.

The commonwealth champion who lost narrowly lost her first bout to World Champion Vansesa Kaladzinskaya of UP Dangal did not waste time to dispatch Rio Olympic bronze medalist today at the Siri Fort Sports Complex.

For Veer Marathas, Belarus wrestler Vasilisa Marzaliuk Vorobieva who has been an outstanding performer, continued her winning streak as she defeated Cynthia Vescan in the women’s 76 kg category.

PWL debutants Veer Marathas opened their winning account in the competition winning 4-3 against led Mumbai Maharathis.

Georgi Ketoev, Levan Beriandze, Vasilisa Marzaliuk and Parveen Rana won their respective bouts to seal the deal for the Marathas.
