El-Kanemi Warriors Technical Adviser Imama Amapakabo has promised his side will go all out to attack Rivers United in their 2017/18 Nigeria Professional Football League Match Day One fixture in Port Harcourt next month.

Both teams were drawn to face in the opening fixture of the Nigerian league for a second season in a row and Amapakabo, a native of Rivers State will be leading out his new side against his compatriot, Stanley Eguma at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium.

“Trust me! I’m going to come, I’m going to attack all the way,” Imama told www.aclsports.com “It’s me, it’s my nature. I’m going to come and play free flowing football,” he added.

Amapakabo was unveiled as El-Kanemi new coach in mid-October and the former National Under 17 goalkeeper highlighted the team’s poor away form as one major thing he’ll be looking to address https://aclsports.com/6085-2/

With just about three weeks of work with the team, Amapakabo led them to the Ahlan Cup pre-season tournament where they reached the semi-final stage.

“You’ll see a lot of young lads with the team. It’s the team I took to the Ahlan Cup tournament. The team has just been together for three weeks or so when I’ve been able to work on tactics and all and I’m so proud with what they’ve been able to do,” said the CHAN Eagles assistant coach.

The new Nigeria Professional Football League season will commence on January 14, 2018 with El-Kanemi’s visit to Port Harcourt one of the fixtures to look out for. “Trust me, you’ll see a whole lot of young lads that are ready to run all day so, Rivers United! Here comes El-Kanemi!” exclaimed Imama Amapakabo, Rangers International title winning coach in 2016.
