For the 20th time in his career, Anthony Joshua knocked out an opponent, as he defended his WBA and IBF titles, albeit in controversial consequence. Carlo Takam, French born Cameroonian, was Joshua’s challenger this time, like in his previous bouts, the British Nigerian came out victorious after the referee stopped the fight in the 10th round.

Many were of the opinion that the decision to stop the fight was a wrong call by the man in the middle, after Takam gave a good account of himself.

However, like every other global Sporting event, this sold out bout was followed on social media, especially twitter, and we have some of the best reactions.

Anthony Joshua just got Wizkid's song, Ojuelegba played in front of 74,500 people by using it as his entrance theme song at his sold out #JoshuaTakam fight in Cardiff.

That's a brother supporting another brother. It doesn't take anything for you to support others.

#JoshuaTakam

Must be a feel good day for Anthony Joshua, because his team(Manchester United) won the same day he won an important match. And also, the winning goal was scored by his name sake, ANTHONY Martial.

Ojuelegba by Wizkid was Anthony Joshua's entrance theme song at the sold out#JoshuaTakam fight at 74,500 capacity Principality Stadium.

This was just the type of fight, experience & adversity that @anthonyfjoshua needed. He wasn’t at his best, but sometimes, u won’t always be & it’s those times u hav 2find a way. Some fall apart after broke nose. He remained composed and controlled fight #JoshuaTakam

Takam was never going win. Joshua was ending him but the referee ended it too early. Big test for Joshua, Takam is an animal #JoshuaTakam

Before we end this, we want you to tell us what you think- do you think the referee ended the fight early or he did the right thing?

This particular person believes it was a wrong call,

OUCH!!!😲😲😲
Anthony Joshua is a beast.💪

Though referee stopped the fight early.#JoshuaTakamhttps://t.co/LI1OKcH9CK
