Beach Volleyball: Nigeria female team qualifies for Semifinals

Nigeria female volleyball team have qualified for the Semifinals of the ongoing Commonwealth qualifiers in Sierra Leone. The female team beat Seychelles and Sierra Leone, losing narrowly to Mauritius.
The match against Seychelles ended 2-0 major score at 21-11 and 23-21 while beating Sierra Leone 2-1 major score at 15-21, 22-20 and 15-9. Mauritius ended Nigeria unbeaten run by 2-1 major scoreline with 21-18, 16-21 and 15-17.
With the results, the female national team has qualified to the semi finals of the tournament. Coach Kayode Ajilore who rated the performances of the male and female team very high expressed hope that the two teams will win tickets to the Commonwealth Games.
The President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Eng Musa Nimrod lauded the female team for qualifying to the semi finals praying for the male team to equally win the semi finals ticket at the end of day two matches. Nigeria male team will play three matches against  South Africa, Ghana and Sierra Leone while female will play their last game against Rwanda.
