The President of Nigeria Volleyball Federation, Engineer Musa Nimrod on Saturday charged the female team to qualify for the 2018 World Cup by winning the nation’s cup in Yaounde, Cameroon.

Nimrod who gave the charge after the training session in Abuja  advised the female team to remain united.
He urged the players to continually pray for the success of the team as they plan embarking on the journey.

He noted that the success of the male team hangs on the performance of the female team in Yaounde.
“You ladies surprised me in Abidjan by winning all your matches. I was impressed and I’m optimistic through your determination and extra effort, the cup is ours”, he said.

“If you succeed the boys will succeed. Your success could determine the male success”. It’s my desire God opens the doors of success for you people”, he ended.

She appreciated the President for making out time to visit the team.
“First time we are having a team committed to the growth of Nigeria Volleyball. The team is disciple, dedicated and willing to bring back the World Cup ticket”, she said. “We’ll not let Nigeria down, we promise”.

In 2002, Nigeria Volleyball teams (Male and Female) placed second at the Africa Nations Cup held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
