4 Nigerian Wrestlers enroute Paris for World Championship

Three Nigeria Wrestlers and an official have departed Nigeria for the 2017 World Championship in Paris, France.

The wrestlers include seven times Africa champion, Blessing Oborududu (63Kg), 2015 World Bronze medallist, Odunayo Adekuoroye (55kg) and three times Africa champion, Aminat Adeniyi all female as well as the female head coach.

The President Nigeria Wrestling Federation, Daniel Igali in a chat with ACLSports.com, said the team bought tickets on Ethiopia airline and are expected to arrive Paris by 6:30am on Tuesday.

“We are buying tickets on Ethiopia airline. Just got all four of them now.

“We have been able to buy four tickets on air Ethiopia for Purity Akuh (female coach) and the three girls.

“They will arrive paris all things being equal by 6:30am on Tuesday,” Igali said.

The athletes are expected to wrestle on Wednesday, 23rd of August 2017 as weight control begins on Tuesday.

It will be recalled that the Nigerian Wrestling team missed their flights today (Monday) after a delay from Air Maroc.
