Super Eagles assistant captain Ogenyi Onazi is among the early arrivals at Nigeria’s pre-World Cup base in Uyo on Monday afternoon. The Trabzonspor of Turkey midfielder arrived the Eagles’ Le Meridien Hotel base in the Southern City of Uyo on the opening day of the former African champions’ pre-World Cup preparation camp.

Onazi was joined in camp by another Turkey based star William Troost-Ekong who breezed in alongside England based Ola Aina. Both Onazi and Troost-Ekong were granted leave by their respective club sides on the final day of Turkish Super League on Friday with their teams already certain on their final positions on the table.

Enyimba FC of Aba goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa also arrived camp on Monday alongside Plateau United star Dele Ajiboye. More stars are still being expected in camp and up to fifteen players in the 30-man provisional list are expected to have arrived by the close of Monday.

Nigeria begin their final pre-World Cup schedule with a farewell friendly against Congo Democratic Republic in Port Harcourt next Monday before traveling to Europe to face England and Czech Republic in further friendlies.
