Nigeria’s U-19 male and female teams who left the shores of the country for Cotonou, Republic of Benin over the weekend; have commenced their quest for a place in this year’s African Youth Games volleyball competition.

Team Nigeria is expected to do battle with four other countries namely: Ghana, Republic of Benin, Burkina Faso and Niger for the single slot available in zone 3.

Baring this in mind, the U-19 male and female teams of Nigeria put up a good show against the host team, Republic of Benin defeating them 3-0 in both categories to give themselves a good head start in the qualifiers.
