Manchester City are running away with the English Premier League title for this season, but for other clubs, there is still a lot to play for as the PL enters its business end.
It’s week 30, and the battle for European places is surely set to heat up, with two Nigerian players involved.
At Old Trafford, the tie of the weekend will see two rivals, Manchester United and Liverpool go head-to-head for second place.
However, for our Nigerian duo of Victor Moses and Alex Iwobi, their clubs are in danger of missing out of a place in Europe next season.
Moses’ Chelsea, who are the defending champions, would be hoping to improve their chances of playing in Europe next campaign when they host Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
At the Hawthorns, West Brom Albion welcome the duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi, who will be looking to celebrate their latest invitation to the national side, the Super Eagles, with a solid performance against the Magpies.
Meanwhile, after watching from the bench as Arsenal shocked AC Milan 2-0 at San Siro, in their Europa League round of 32 first leg tie, Alex Iwobi would hope to be back in contention for a starting berth as his club look to mount a final push for a place in Europe.
The Gunners, who are currently sixth on the log, and have been there for a while, welcome Watford at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
