The head coach of Kano Pillars Handball Club, Solomon Yola has set his sight on winning the Handball Premier League for the third straight season.

Kano Pillars won the title back to back in the 2021/2022 Prudent Energy Handball League.

“We have won the title thrice (2019, 2021 and 2022) since the return of the Prudent Energy Handball League”, Yola told www.aclsports.com

“Kano Pillars HC We are now looking ahead to this season, particularly in the domestic league and the African Club Championship in 2024.

“Our ambition is to keep getting positive results and build on the strength and image of the club as the years go by. We have been preparing, the boys are coming up and doing very well in training, we know the task ahead as the defending champions”

Yola said he believes Kano Pillars will enjoy support from the Governor, Abba Yusuf.

He said, “I don’t think we lack anything, preparations are going and the Government just came in and tried to settle down.

“I learnt the Governor is a lover of sports, I believe Kano Pillars handball club will get the maximum support from him.

“The first phase is in Benin while the second phase is going to be in Lagos. We have done our best as the technical crew, the ball is now in the court of the players”.
