Nigeria Super Falcons players were in action over the weekend for their clubs across Europe. From calm penalty finishes to creative assists and commanding midfield displays, they made an impact across multiple leagues.
Esther Okoronkwo – AFC Toronto
Okoronkwo scored the equalizer in AFC Toronto’s 1-1 draw against Halifax Tides FC. The forward calmly converted a penalty in the 39th minute after Toronto had fallen behind to Tiffany Cameron’s 27th-minute goal. Her finish secured a point for the team, adding to their tally at the top of the Northern Super League; with their playoff spot already confirmed.

Rasheedat Ajibade – PSG Féminine
Ajibade recorded her first goal involvement for PSG in her first home game of the season, setting up Merveille Kanjinga for the team’s third goal in a 5-2 win over Nantes. Jennifer Echegini also impressed, featuring for the entire 90 minutes. PSG opened the scoring with an own goal from Nantes’ Maureen Cosson in the 6th minute, doubled their lead through Romee Leuchter in the 20th, and extended it with Ajibade’s assist. Griedge Mbock and Florianne Jourde added further goals, while Nantes replied with late strikes from Cosson and Julie Rabanne.
Chiamaka Nnadozie – Brighton & Hove Albion
Nnadozie made five important saves in goal as Brighton secured a 4-1 victory over West Ham. She conceded a second-half penalty after bringing down Ffion Morgan, which Viviane Asseyi converted, but her overall performance helped Brighton control the match and claim all three points. Brighton will next face Toni Payne’s Everton.
Christy Ucheibe – Benfica Feminino
Christy Ucheibe made her first appearance of the season as Benfica Feminino dominated Vitoria SC 5-1 away from home. Her control in midfield, with intelligent positioning, accurate passing, and strong defensive work, helped Benfica set the tempo and secure a convincing win.
With key moments and standout displays, Nigeria’s stars continue to make their mark in Europe, giving supporters plenty to celebrate and watch for in the coming weeks.
