Nigeria U20 women’s national team, the Falconets, will take on Ghana in the 2025 WAFU Zone B U20 Girls’ Cup, played in a new format, in Benin Republic, www.aclsports.com reports.

The tournament runs from November 7 to 12, 2025, featuring Benin Republic, Nigeria, and defending champions Ghana after the withdrawal of Burkina Faso and Niger Republic. This year, all teams will play each other home and away in a round-robin league, replacing the previous group-and-knockout system. The team topping the table at the end of all matches will be crowned WAFU B U20 Girls’ Cup champion.

Led by Coach Moses Aduku, who guided the team past Rwanda and will face Senegal in the third round of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifiers, Nigeria will open against Ghana on November 8. The Falconets then take on hosts Benin on November 9, meet Ghana again on November 11, and conclude their campaign against Benin on November 12.

Ahead of the tournament, the Falconets are training at Beyond Limits Football Academy in Ikenne, Ogun State. It provides young players with valuable match experience while preparing them for upcoming CAF and FIFA youth competitions.
