Former Al Wasl VC of Dubai player, Oyewale Oyedepo has completed a move to Kazakhstan Volleyball League side, Aqtobe VC, www.aclsports.com reports.

Oyedepo put pen to paper after a successful medical in Kazakhstan and will resume play in the ongoing 2023/2024 season.

The former Offa VC player vowed to lift his new club side and contribute to the growth of the team on the court.

Oyedepo told www.aclsports.com that he is looking forward to his first match in the colours of his team

He said, “It is a special opportunity that I really wanted to take advantage of. I have watched some of the matches of Aqtobe VC (online) and I promise to give my 100% to the team.

“The atmosphere of Aqtobe is different from other clubs and I am glad I made the decision to join this great club. There’s still much more to come from Aqtobe VC for believe me, if you underrate them at your own risk.

“After our conversations, I now know: This is a top club with a great team. I am very much looking forward to my first match in this environment and want to contribute my part to the future success of Aqtobe.”

Oyewale Oyedepo previously played for Nabih Saleh SC Volleyball Club of Bahrain before joining Aqtobe VC.

He was part of Nigeria U19 Boys’ team that won the U19 African Boys’ Volleyball Championship in Abuja and qualified for the FIVB U19 Boys’ Volleyball Championship in Iran.

The OFFA born player participated at the recently concluded 2022 U21 Boys African Nations Volleyball Championship where Nigeria finished fourth place.
