ASEC Mimosas VC defeated CO Descartes 3-1 (25-15, 25-19, 22-25, 25-19) to clinch women’s 2025 Super Cup in Cote d’Ivoire.

In an exclusive interview with www.aclsports.com, the head coach of ASEC Mimosas VC women’s team, Massa Souleymane Coulibaly said the trophy will serve as a morale booster ahead of the upcoming 2025 season.

The former AS Police VC player said, “This Super Cup is very important for us and especially for me. It motivates me to continue the work. It gives me a lot of hope for the title of the 2025 season.

Coulibaly outlined his aspirations for the upcoming 2025 season.

He said, “My goal for our season is to take the 2025 title and improve our performance by working again and again. I am committed to the team’s potentials and growth to reach greater heights.

Looking beyond the domestic league, Souleymane turned his attention to the 2025 African Women’s Club Championship, which will be held in Nigeria.

While acknowledging the challenges that lie ahead, he remained optimistic about his team’s chances.

He said, “It will be difficult to make a difference, but we will not be ridiculous. We will fight for a better result. The club will compete with the best in Africa, regardless of the challenges we may face.”
